The State Garden Show closes its doors - but Höxter's new bloom remains

That's it! After half a year full of floral splendor and over 1,000 events, the “Höxteraner Sommermärchen” of the State Garden Show comes to an end. According to current estimates, around 400,000 visitors have attended the State Garden Show. Season ticket sales hold the record of all state garden shows in NRW to date.

At an emotionally charged closing ceremony in Corvey, more than 700 people came together to bid farewell to this summer fairytale. Höxter's mayor encourages the citizens and participants of the State Garden Show to carry the newly discovered sense of togetherness into the future: “A garden may be a place of relaxation, but it also needs care. Let's make sure that Höxter continues to bloom and shine.”

„Landesgartenschall – das fragen sich die Studierenden“

In the podcast "Landesgartenschall - das fragen die Studierenden" students invited working landscape architects to talk to them.

Landscape architects design sustainable and green living spaces. They design and plan climate adaptation projects and make cities and landscapes fit for climate change. Landscape architecture can be studied in Germany at the Ostwestfalen-Lippe University of Applie Sciences and Arts in Höxter, among other places. There, students invited working landscape architects for interviews. They were interviewed with the aim of making the diversity and topicality of the profession known to a broad public.
